Independent tyre distributor EG Wholesale has opened its new warehouse in Newport, Isle of Wight. EG Wholesale is one of 10 members of Grouptyre, the UK’s leading independent tyre wholesaler.
EG Wholesale is a division of a family-run motor trade group that also owns 9 petrol stations, convenience stores, 16 fast-fit auto centres and a rental property business. The family-run business has been operating for over 60 years, with 3 generations of the family working together. They have around 300 members of staff and an annual turnover in excess of £70 million.
The new EG Wholesale site is located at 44-50 South Street, Newport, PO30 1JG. We deliver tyres across the entire island and our vans’ tracking systems ensure timing and accuracy of deliveries. We have other major wholesale hubs in Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Eastbourne, Horsham, Maidstone, Strood and Canterbury, which means our Newport site can draw on an additional 100,000 tyres daily. We stock tyres from all major manufacturers, a variety of mid-range brands including Avon and Firestone, alongside Grouptyre exclusive brands iLink, Rapid and Goodride.”
